Before you book.

Clear answers reduce stress before anyone steps on the property.

Do I need to be home when you mow?

No. You do not need to be home as long as Take Home has access to the yard and knows about gates, pets, sprinklers, obstacles, or special instructions. Most customers hand off the work and check in after.

What if I do not know my yard size?

No problem. Send the address and photos. Take Home can estimate lawn size from photos and confirm the quote before work begins.

Do I need a contract for regular lawn mowing?

No. Take Home does not require a contract for regular lawn mowing service. You can set up weekly or biweekly service without signing a long-term agreement.

What photos should I send for an accurate quote?

Send photos of the front yard, backyard, side yards, driveway and sidewalk edging areas, flowerbeds, overgrown spots, leaf or debris piles, gate access, slopes, and tight areas. Include sprinkler problem areas if relevant. Include your address and desired service. We can usually quote from photos alone.

Are sprinkler repairs always expensive?

Not necessarily. Many sprinkler issues involve heads, nozzles, timer settings, leaks, or coverage gaps. Take Home starts with the simple causes before assuming a major fix. Spring sprinkler startup is $150. Repairs depend on parts and scope.

Can I start with just one service?

Yes. A first cut, spring cleanup, sprinkler startup, or one-time service is a simple way to start. Recurring mowing, cleanups, and seasonal services can be added whenever it makes sense.

Do you mow when it is raining or wet?

Take Home tries not to mow wet lawns because wet grass can clump, cut unevenly, and leave a mess. If weather makes conditions unsafe or likely to damage the lawn, Take Home may reschedule and will communicate about timing changes.

Why do some lawn care quotes seem so different from each other?

Quotes vary because companies include different things. One quote may cover edging, cleanup, bagging, travel, communication, and a professional finish. Another may only cover a quick cut. The lowest quote is not always the best value if it leaves out reliability, communication, or cleanup details.
